MSHA – Gift of Green Continues but has been revised:
· Beginning December 1, 2009 Gift of Green will provide borrowers a flat $2500. to help with the down payment, closing costs and prepaids.
· The minimum borrower contribution is 1% of the mortgage loan amount.
· Current Gift of Green – Grant of 4% of loan amount up to $5000. Must be registered before November 30, 2009.
· Applicant must complete a 10 hour Homework education class before closing. For a schedule please visit: www.maineworks.org
