HOME SALES UP IN DECEMBER: In a press release to the Maine media today, MREIS reports that Maine existing home sales increased 4.34% comparing December 2011 to December 2010. That is the sixth consecutive month of positive increases. The median home sales price decreased 6.98% in that same time period to $160,000. Median indicates half sold for less and half sold for more.
