Summer Decor Trends

This summer, lighten up indoor and outdoor spaces by utilizing neutral colors borrowed from natural surroundings. Lighter browns such as sand, beige, and cinnamon provide basic backdrops for summer decor but can also transition well into future seasons. This is also a safe palette to invest in for larger items such as couches or carpeting. During the past decade, darker browns have been popular, especially coupled with teal or orange, but recent years have shown a stronger move toward lighter basics. Although not traditionally a summer hue, gray is also a safe neutral that is gaining popularity and works as a transitional basic.
