World Refugee Day Wednesday
Next week, the City of Portland along with the State of Maine Multicultural Affairs Office, Catholic Charities Maine Refugee and Immigration Services, 211Maine, United Way of Greater Portland, Community Financial Literacy of Maine, Immigrant Women Health, and a host of community members and friends will hold its eighth annual World Refugee Day event with this year’s theme being, A Celebration of Women. A reception will take place from 4:00-5:00 p.m., along with music and a small program, including a Proclamation, following the reception. Admission is free.
